Bio

Metamorphartist is a multi form artist working in musical improvisation using current digital technology.

MetaM has always had a deep interest in musical form that evokes and expresses mood, emotion and creates in both the performer and the perceiver a sense of time, space and place. Early experiences in traditional music making with bands and classical ensembles forced MetaM to rethink the notion of composition, song writing and performance.

MetaM left Australia in 1997 and traveled to Perth in Scotland. After several years, working and living with Celtic artists, finding cultural, genetic roots, MetaM recorded the first album of improvisational music at the Farmhouse. Inspired and encouraged by reception of Ambient Princess, MetaM began doing live, improvisational work building an underground notation and following. 

MetaM has returned to land of the tribal elders to research and explore new paradigms of digital performance media and anticipates new work in late 2008.

MetaM is grateful to all those who support and encourage the work both in Australia and in Europe. A great deal of the inspiration for the work and the impetus to continue on the journey comes from the unconditional love and kinship of fellow travelers.
